Introduction to your Sustainability Profile
and the Prewave self assessments…
Prewave offers you the chance to represent your company on a worldwide risk intelligence platform - you can call it your very own Prewave Sustainability Profile. One way to do this is to start filling out self-assessments, which are basically questionnaires about your business activity under different headers (see a list below).
Your sustainability profile is a place where up-to-date information about your company is logged - in other words its your Company Website on the Prewave platform. Actively completing these questionnaires mean that users of Prewave visiting your profile can see a complete picture about how sustainable and resilient you are and how you approach important ESG and CSR themes.
- Company Information
This is a basic questionnaire that will ask you informaiton about your business, industry, employee count, and if you have any sanctions against you. This is a good first step to start enriching your sustainability profile
- Business Ethics
Ethics is very important in business, and our Business Ethics questionnaire gives you the opportunity to upload your Ethics Policy, a must-have in today’s globalised economy. If you don’t have an Ethics Policy, we can help you get one - just reach out to us. It will also ask you a few questions about how you view ethics in the workplace.
- Environment
As part of local and international legislation, and worldwide movement of businesses taking better care of the planet, we offer you the Environment questionnaire. Here you will be asked important questions around environmental issues and your company’s interaction with local ecosystems. By doing this you communicate to the world what your stance is in relation to the environment.
- Labour & Human Rights
Every company hires people; the backbone for any business. Our Labour & Human Rights questionnaire focuses on social issues and has a very human-centric line of questions. This is a good opportunity to represent your enterprise as a people-first company that puts humans first in decision making.
- Health & Safety
Health and safety in the workplace is and always has been a priority. We offer you the H&S questionnaire to let the world know what measures you do, what steps you have and will take to protect the livelihood of your employees.
We also have other questionnaires like RoHS, Reach, Carbon Footprint and Conflict Minerals which, if they pertain to your business operations, are also a good idea to fill in.
Why do I need to complete the Self Assessments?

The questionnaires are not mandatory to fill in, but they go a long way to make your Sustainability Profile more complete and up-to-date. Users of Prewave use the system to monitor, assess and report on their supplier base. This can be for suppliers they already work with or suppliers they might work with in the future. That means it is in your interest to show your company in its best light on Prewave - doing things to communicate to the world how resilient, sustainable and serious your business is
We encourage new companies in our platform to start with filling out the Self-Assessment called Company Information, will gives your followers clear basic details about your business, operations, industry and that you are not involved in any sanctions
What will they do for me and my business?

Prewave assigns a 360 Risk Score to each company. We analyse and produce 100s of datapoints that feed into this score, and it basically rates your business against these sustainability indicators. Some indicators, like industry risk or country risk, you have no control over. Other indicators, like filling out self assessments, are entirely in your control.
A more complete sustainability profile, a more attractive business. If you take the time to fill out these Self Assessments, you are showing the corporate world that you are operating transparently, taking measures and steps to improve your business and actively communicating the status quo of your operations and workings

Your Sustainability Profile is a place where you communicate good business practice to the world, so its a good idea to get any documentation, report or policy online. For example you could as a first step upload a Code of Conduct (which is expected by all customers these days). To do this, go to Certificates on your sustainability profile and click Add Certificate
