Supplier Self Assessments (SSAs)

The following Questionnaires are free of charge for customers to use

WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronical Equipment)

According to the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), any
manufacturer or retailer who wants to place electrical and electronic equipment on the market in
Germany for the first time is obliged to register with stiftung ear beforehand.

RoHS

This assessment focuses on the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
Directive, basically asking suppliers to provide information on compliance and conformity
around certain hazardous substances that are contained in electrical and electronic equipment,
where applicable.

REACH

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is an EU
regulation that addresses the production and use of chemical substances, and their potential
impacts on both human health and the environment. REACH focuses on persistent,
bioaccumulative or toxic chemicals with a spotlight on substances of very high concern (SVHC).

Labour & Human Rights

An assessment around working and human rights topics, covering aspects of child and forced labor, relevant industry standards, any sort of discrimination, equality, community and assembly rights and more. The SSA follows key points in the LkSG, has aspects taken from SAQ5.0 and has been supplemented and approved by TaylorWessing.

Health & Safety

An assessment around health and occupational safety themes, addressing working hours, employee physical and mental well-being and procedures, programs and trainings adopted by the organisation to look after their staff. The SSA has aspects taken from SAQ5.0 and has been supplemented and approved by TaylorWessing.

Environment

An assessment around environmental topics, covering aspects of waste, energy use, lawsuits, respective conventions (Minamata, Stockholm, Basel), chemical and toxic substance usage, noise emissions, land use and biodiversity loss. The SSA has aspects taken from SAQ5.0 and has been supplemented and approved by TaylorWessing.

Conflict Minerals

This assessment focuses on the following conflict minerals; tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, cobalt and mica. It uses the reporting template standards of the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). 

Company Information

A general assessment that provides us with quantitative data points and gives the supplier the opportunity to upload anything they feel is pertinent to their maturity

CO2 / Carbon Footprint

An in-depth assessment around GHG emissions, covering measurements of Scopes 1, 2 and 3, carbon avoidance projects, carbon compensation projects, carbon credits commercialization and reduction targets for Scopes 1, 2 and 3. 

Business Ethics

A short assessment allowing the supplier to upload an ethics policy and address what is included in it

EUDR Supplier Maturity Assessment

The Supplier Maturity Assessment is a questionnaire aimed at verifying the data collected as part of a company's EUDR Due Diligence System.
