What does the sanction feature cover?

This article is taking a deeper look at the sanction feature provided in the platform.

If you have purchased Sanctions as an addition to your contract, you will be able to see a new tab in the supplier target profile which is called “Sanctions/UBO”.

Once accessing the sanctions tab you will be able to see a list displaying the sanctions connected to your supplier. Below is an example of the lists of sanctions where this company has been mentioned:

By selecting one of the items of the list, a hierarchy chart will open and show connected stakeholders. Stakeholders with a red exclamation mark are associated with sanctions, whereas the stakeholders with a green check mark are not associated with sanctions.

Below the organisation chart you can find an active link to the original source of the sanction.

The indication that a supplier has been impacted by sanctions is displayed through either a red or a black hammer:

- Red hammer: This displays a sanction for an organization

- Black hammer: The sanction applies to an UBO (= Ultimate Beneficial
Ownership) & PEP (= Politically Exposed person), which means it applies to an actual person and not an organization

You will also have access to a collection called “Sanctioned targets” within your network tab. Here you will also find two sub categories called “Direct Sanctions” and “Sanctions in Ownership”. Those collections will give you an overview of all the companies in the system which are impacted by sanctions.

All the information in connection to sanctions is gathered by our partner Open Sanctions.
