How Prewave Assessment Score Works

In this article you will get an overview of how we score the various assessments on a target profile

Each Site profile in Prewave will be subject to Assessments, which can be self-completed, requested or automated entries. Assessments include:

  • Actions that have taken place at that Site
  • Self-Assessments that have been requested or self-completed by the Site, more here
  • Maturity Assessments that have been conducted by Prewave at that Site, more here

All Assessments are scored, and that score in turn contributes to the 360 Score of that target. The Assessment Score makes up 20% of the whole 360 Score.

Prewave's "currency" for scoring is our Event Types. Each Assessment contains different questions and answers. We assign relevant Event Types to these, and give each a score.

There will be changes to the scoring logic of the Assessment Score, which will have an effect on the 360 Score of Sites you are following, more below...

What does it look like now?

Previously, Prewave put a greater weight on the lowest scores across each Assessment in the calculation of the total Assessment Score. In the below example you see that the total Assessment Score is 48.

Each Assessment you can see has been scored based on the answers given and in turn what risk that entails. Questions that are considered "high risk" can penalise that Site based on the answer given.

What will change?

So that the Assessment Score total makes more sense, the new scoring will take each assessment's answer into consideration and bring a result very close to the real average. We do this to represent the data in a more simple way, as you can see below on the same Site profile. The total Assessment Score is now 72

after-1after (1)-1

This will mean there minor changes to the overall score of that particular Site, depending on the answers of the various assessments at that profile.
